MMT Annual Lecture

Article Date: 19-Sep-2021

In the wonderful surroundings of The Lady Chapel, Westminster Abbey, the MMT Annual Lecture was given by Tim Knox, the Director of The Royal Collection and Patron of the Mausolea and Monuments Trust.

His talk explored the extraordinary legacy of English Royal tombs and memorials, from the earliest times to the present day.

From the mysterious ship burials of Sutton Hoo, through the religious foundations of the medieval kings, to the great Royal ‘dormitories’ of Westminster Abbey and St George’s Chapel at Windsor.

The lecture was recorded and is available to members to watch - see our latest magazine for details.
