Gazetteer Updated
Article Date: 16-Nov-2021
We are pleased to announce a major upgrade to our gazetteer.
As part of our new website, we have updated the layout of the Gazetteer and fixed a number of issues relating to location maps.
The new layout is designed to work well on both desktop and mobile devices, making it easier to research whilst at home and out and about. This has also allowed us to add a “find Mausolea near me” function. At the moment we do not have exact location data for all our listed mausolea, so results may not be completely accurate but we are working towards resolving that as soon as possible – in fact members can help in this area – see below.
We are collecting Latitude and Longitude data for each mausoleum so that the site can show accurate location maps and allow the “Near me” function to be complete. Members visiting a mausoleum are encouraged to use their mobile devices to help improve the accuracy of this information – all at the tough of a button! Please see our magazine for details.
